Bodywork
Shiatsu is a traditional Japanese form of bodywork designed to support relaxation, balance and overall wellbeing. Using gentle to firm pressure applied with the fingers, thumbs and palms, shiatsu works along specific areas and energy pathways of the body. Unlike many forms of massage, it is usually performed through clothing and does not require oils or lotions. Treatments may also incorporate stretching, joint movement and gentle mobilisation to help release tension and encourage greater ease of movement. Many people choose shiatsu to help reduce stress, ease muscular tension and create a sense of deep relaxation. Each treatment can be adapted to the individual, making shiatsu a calm, restorative approach to both physical and emotional wellbeing.
